COURTNEY POWELL

Courtney was raised in the South Charlotte area and a competitive gymnast at Southeastern Gymnastics for 10 years. Courtney continued her gymnastics career at North Carolina State University for four years while she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Science. Courtney first visited Architech Sports as a patient in high school after tearing her ACL. She now returns to join ASPT after graduating with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wingate University.
When experiencing repeat knee injuries throughout high school and college, Courtney's passion for Physical Therapy continued to grow. She hopes to provide the guidance every individual needs to grow stronger both physically and mentally when trying to balance the rehab process with everyday life.
When not in the clinic, Courtney cheers on the Wolfpack, enjoys taking weekend trips with her husband Austin and black lab Holly, and remains connected to gymnastics programs within the Charlotte area.
Candace Myers

Candace Myers joined Architech Sports & Physical Therapy in 2014 after spending three years as the certified athletic trainer at Parkwood High School. While at Parkwood, Candace was responsible for all practice and game coverage as well as rehabilitation programs that were needed for each athlete.
Candace earned her Master’s degree in rehabilitation science in 2011 from Bridgewater State University in Boston. Prior to that, she spent one year at the University of Hawaii where she was responsible for the football and women’s basketball programs. Candace earned her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from Charleston Southern University in 2007. While at Charleston Southern, Candace played left field for the Buccaneer softball program.
Candace is a Union County native where she grew up playing competitive basketball and softball at Weddington High School. In her free time Candace enjoys spending time with her daughter, Riley, and working out.

Emily received both her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Bachelor’s degrees from Armstrong State University in Savannah, GA. She completed an Orthopedic residency with Lee health in Fort Myers, FL and also achieved her level 2 Medical TPI certification.
While at Armstrong, she played soccer for four years, earning All-American honors her senior year. And her team won numerous conference and regional championships, reaching the final four during her junior season. She also played one year of college golf while at Armstrong. In high school she played basketball, golf, and track and field.
From her athletic background grew her desire to pursue a career in Physical therapy. She enjoys getting the opportunity to work with all athletes, young and old, to get them back to their sport.
Emily spent her first six years as a PT back home in Fort Myers, Fl working for Lee Health. She also spent that time coaching youth soccer for both boys and girls. She is looking forward to working with the patients at Architech and helping them achieve their goals.
She recently moved to Charlotte with her fiancé and is looking forward to exploring all that Charlotte has to offer. In her free time, you could likely find her playing soccer, golf, or doing something outdoors like hiking or kayaking.

Before receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Wingate University in 2022, Danny was an athletic trainer since 2015 spending time providing medical coverage and developing rehabilitation programs for Salisbury High School, Cuthbertson High School, ECNL Soccer, and sporting events in the greater Charlotte market. He received his undergraduate degree in athletic training from UNC Wilmington.
While in Salisbury, Danny had a split position working under a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician where he assisted with ultrasound guided procedures and fluoroscopy guided spinal injections, developed home exercise plans, and provided assistance with his patients at the Inpatient Rehabilitation facility at Rowan Medical Center.
Danny grew up in Winston-Salem where he played football, baseball, and basketball. He has an interest in martial arts both in rehabilitation and as a hobby. He enjoys cooking and baking and is always interested in hearing about a new recipe if you have one. He and his wife, Ashley, enjoy outdoor activities and are excited to bring their new son on their adventures.

Tori joined Architech Sports & Physical Therapy in June of 2023, after spending 4 years as an Athletic Trainer at Johnson C. Smith University a DII HBCU in Charlotte, NC. She was promoted to Head Athletic Trainer at JCSU after her second year there. She oversaw all of JCSU Sports including the JCSU Football Team. Before JCSU she worked at Arkansas State University as an Athletic Trainer working with the Astate Volleyball Team. Before that, she was an Athletic Trainer at Wingate University working primarily with the women’s soccer, men’s tennis, and women’s tennis programs.
Tori Earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from East Carolina University in 2017, and Master of Science degree in Sport Administration from Arkansas State University in 2019.
Tori has always had a passion for sports and the medical field. She became an Athletic Trainer to help her athletes and patients overcome injuries and set them up for success.
Tori is originally from Northern Virginia where she grew up playing competitive soccer. She was a 4-year starter on the Briar Woods High School Soccer team. Leading the team to a 2013 State Runner-Up title. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, Charlotte breweries, and spending time outside.

Sam joins Architech after graduating from the University of South Carolina where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and his master’s degree in Athletic Training. A SC native, Sam was born and raised in the capital, Columbia. Here he developed his passion for both sports medicine and soccer while playing locally with school and club teams. Lately, he has undergone clinical athletic training experiences varying from high schools, D1 soccer, football, and most recently with Orlando City SC in MLS including their B and academy teams. Sam is dedicated to providing excellent healthcare to all patients and making a positive difference every day. In his free time, Sam enjoys fishing, trying new foods, hanging out with his dog Oliver, and playing soccer.

Lindsay joins Architech Sports as a Physical Therapist from Austin, Texas. She earned her Bachelor's Degree at Southwestern University just north of Austin, and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Texas State University. Lindsay began as a Psychology major in undergrad, and soon found her passion for combining the mental and physical aspects of rehabilitation to improve overall health and performance.
Lindsay worked in Austin for 4 years in an active physical therapy clinic, working with clients of all levels to improve strength, endurance, power, and skill in their desired activities. She also worked closely with Lonestar SC, helping their soccer players with any injuries or rehab issues. Lindsay played collegiate soccer at Southwestern and loves to work with those athletes to improve their game on the field.
Lindsay grew up on the East Coast, and has recently moved here from Texas. She is looking forward to learning about the Charlotte area and all it has to offer! When she's not in the clinic, Lindsay can be found running, hiking, or playing soccer with her husband and their dog in her free time!
