Austin joins Architech Sports and Physical Therapy after receiving his Masters degree in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he also earned his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. Austin grew up in the Charlotte area where he played basketball for Butler High School. It was a shoulder injury while playing basketball that sparked his interest in learning more about how to treat sports related injuries.
While earning his Masters degree Austin had the opportunity to gain experience with clinical rotations in various settings, most recently with Architech and Queens University men's basketball team. While basketball is his sport of choice, he enjoys being a spectator of all sports and learning as much as he can in order to help all athletes return to their sports.
In his free time you can find Austin participating in a pickup game of basketball, adding to his shoe game, spending time with family and friends trying to show off on the grill, and teaching his dog Hugo new tricks.
