Meet the Team at Architech Blakeney

SARAH FORD

Sarah joined Architech Sports after completing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at East Carolina University, where she also earned her Bachelor’s in Athletic Training. Her experience at ECU included working with diverse athletes, guiding them through rehabilitation to return to their sports at a high level. A lifelong athlete, Sarah grew up playing basketball and volleyball and continued her passion through intramural and club sports in college. Observing her father’s rehabilitation from multiple injuries during her adolescence sparked her interest in physical therapy and inspired her focus on building strong patient relationships and providing holistic, individualized care.

Outside of the clinic, Sarah maintains an active lifestyle with workouts, walks, and attending concerts. She values spending time with friends and family and enjoys relaxing with her favorite reality TV shows.

TODD ELWOOD

Todd’s interest in physical therapy was ignited by his own experiences with sports-related injuries. Growing up here locally as an athlete at Piedmont High School, Todd faced the challenges of injury and recovery firsthand. Experiencing a Tommy John surgery during his baseball career at UNC Charlotte truly sparked his passion for helping others. Going through the rigorous rehabilitation process to return to the field gave Todd a deep understanding of the physical and mental perseverance required for recovery. This experience laid the foundation for his decision to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Wingate University.

Todd is passionate about helping athletes overcome injuries and get back to doing what they love. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys working out, watching sports, and spending quality time with his wife and dog.

While there, she also became a nationally certified group fitness instructor, coaching strength training, spinning, and Pilates.

She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Drawing from her personal experiences with injury recovery and athletic burnout, she is deeply committed to helping every client not just heal, but truly thrive.
