Alan Tyson, CEO of Architech Sports & Physical Therapy, leading expert in athletic performance and rehabilitation.

Alan Tyson

Alan Tyson is the President of Architech Sports and Physical Therapy. A board-certified physical therapist and certified athletic trainer, Alan previously served as Vice President of Sports Performance and Rehabilitation for OrthoCarolina. He has worked with numerous professional athletes and teams, including the Charlotte Knights, Carolina Panthers, and Charlotte Eagles.

Alan is a respected author and speaker in the field of sports medicine and rehabilitation. He has written three books and developed specialized training programs for various athletes. He is also an associate editor of the National Strength and Conditioning Journal.

SYDNEY Matulewicz

Sydney joined Architech Sports & Physical Therapy after earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from High Point University. Before studying at HPU, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training at East Carolina University, where she gained hands-on experience working with a variety of athletes and managing their rehabilitation both on and off the field.

A former competitive high school soccer player who overcame three ACL tears, Sydney’s personal journey as an athlete gives her a unique perspective and deep empathy for those recovering from injury. She has continued her own athletic pursuits by competing in marathons, half marathons, triathlons, and even a half Ironman — experiences that fuel her passion for helping others move better, rebuild confidence, and return stronger than before.

Trey Miles

A former basketball player himself, Trey brings a passion for sports and a deep understanding of athletic performance to his role as a physical therapist. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he gained valuable experience working with the Men’s Basketball team under Coach Roy Williams.

Trey is committed to helping athletes of all levels achieve their goals. His experience as a student manager, youth basketball coach, and athlete provides him with unique insights into the challenges and triumphs of the athlete’s journey. When he’s not in the clinic, Trey enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, and cheering on the Tar Heels.

Athletic Trainer Lizzie Andrews of Architech Sports & Physical Therapy, former collegiate swimmer dedicated to helping patients recover from injuries and stay active.

LIZZIE ANDREWS

Lizzie’s dedication to keeping people active stems from her own background as a competitive swimmer. A former athlete at Myers Park High School and East Carolina University, she understands the importance of movement and the frustration of injuries that sideline individuals from the activities they love. Lizzie earned her bachelor’s in Athletic Training from East Carolina University and a Master’s in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University, where she gained experience treating individuals of all athletic abilities.

With a passion for rehabilitation, Lizzie has consistently integrated her expertise into various roles, from high school athletics to campus recreation and sports medicine. She is committed to helping patients recover from injuries and return to their active lifestyles stronger and more prepared. When not in the clinic, Lizzie enjoys spending time with her two dogs, running, exploring the outdoors, and traveling.

PAIGE MROZ

Paige is a dedicated healthcare professional with a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training from West Virginia University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University. Her expertise lies in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and enhancing movement efficiency, gained through experience with collegiate athletes in football, baseball, basketball, and soccer.

Paige’s background as a collegiate athletic trainer has provided her with valuable hands-on experience managing injuries and facilitating high-level athletes’ return to peak performance. Whether assisting athletes with sport-specific rehab or supporting patients in their injury recovery, her aim is always to empower individuals to reach their personal health and performance goals. Outside of her clinical work, Paige enjoys family time, traveling, and trying new baking recipes.

Amanda Fitz, Physical Therapist at Architech Sports & Physical Therapy, specializes in personalized rehabilitation and patient education to help clients recover and move better.

AMANDA FITTS

Mandy joins Architech Sports and Physical Therapy after earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Psychology. Growing up, she was an active athlete and played volleyball for her high school team. She also pursued her love of art by working as a painting instructor, an experience that deepened her passion for helping others reach their goals.

As a physical therapist, Mandy is known for her patient-centered approach. She takes time to understand each person’s unique goals and designs rehabilitation programs tailored to their needs. She enjoys explaining anatomy and biomechanics in ways that help patients better understand their bodies and recovery process. Outside the clinic, Mandy enjoys indoor rock climbing, reading, cooking, and watching sports.

Jake Tingom, Physical Therapist at Architech Sports & Physical Therapy, specializes in helping athletes recover from injury and return to peak performance through personalized care.

Jake Tingom

Jake joined Architech Sports and Physical Therapy after earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Methodist University. He previously completed his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science at Queens University of Charlotte, where he also played Division I rugby. Growing up, Jake competed in a variety of sports including rugby, wrestling, and football, which gave him a firsthand understanding of the dedication and discipline required to excel at a high level. These experiences continue to shape his approach as a physical therapist.

Jake is passionate about helping athletes recover from injury and return to their sport stronger than before. He takes time to learn about each patient’s goals, sport, and lifestyle in order to create personalized care plans that promote long-term performance and resilience. Outside the clinic, Jake enjoys playing and coaching rugby, participating in CrossFit, and hiking with friends.
